Wife Bleeds To Death After Husband Insist She Must Deliver At Home

According to reports received, a man identified as Mr. Samuel Chidi, a graduate of Law from Ebonyi State University, Abakiliki, watched his wife who had previously delivered twice through cesarean section, struggle with labor pains in their room until she bleeds to death.
This incident happened around 11pm and Mr. Samuel did not inform anyone in the compound or any member of the wife's family until the afternoon of the following day, when a neighbor who happens to be a nurse came to check on Mrs. Samuel.

She persisted that her corpse be deposited immediately at the morgue for proper attention while the lucky new born who miraculously is alive was moved to intensive care" said the source.

The family of the deceased was contacted soon after the negligence conduct of the man who had sworn to love and cherish and protect their daughter till death do them part, withdraw the body to proceed to dump it in the man's compound so he can do with it as he had initially wanted to do with it.

But the quick intervention of the Nigeria policemen that were on patrol from the Kpirikpiri station got the wind of the incident and prevailed on the situation.

So the corpse was returned to the Federal Teaching Hospital Hospital, Abakaliki  mortuary while the suspect was placed under police custody pending investigation and trial.

The circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs Samuel remain a mystery to her neighbors and family. The general public is also hopeful that the Justice Department of the State will stop at nothing in their attempt to unravel this mystery and to bring the culprit to justice.
