Catholic Church Allegedly Considering Allowing Married Men To Become Priest

The Roman Catholic church is reportedly considering allowing married men to become priest.

According to reports the change in the age-long tradition of Catholics is considered to enable areas with scarcity of priest have clergies.

The recommendation is reportedly going to be discussed at a synod of bishops taking place at the Vatican in October.

Catholicism is said to be the main  and earliest form of Christianity. With this in mind, they have their traditional way of worship, doctrine and more.

One thing that seems to stand out in this form of Christianity is the fact that their priest are meant to be celibate and also not allowed to get married.

However, new reports suggest that the Catholic Church might be considering allowing married men become priests, especially in the areas where they are scarce.

According to Guardian, the church is considering this move in a document suggesting that older married men should be allowed become clergies.

The Vatican document has reportedly called on the church to consider this age-long traditional change to help with the shortage of priest in some areas.

Parts of the Vatican document reads: "While affirming that celibacy is a gift for the church, there have been requests that, for the most remote areas of the region, the possibility of conferring priestly ordination on elderly men is discussed." The Guardian reports

The  documents also explains that some regions have difficulties in celebrating the Eucharist due to the shortage of priest.
